How to Build a Sensory Profile of Place

As TED talks are about discoveries and applications within our work, for my talk at TEDx Chiang Mai 2024 I turned my approach in the book Very Bangkok into an example of a tool that anyone could use: 'How to Build a Sensory Profile of Place'.

The whole experience of TEDx Chiang Mai was so professional and supportive. I've done a lot of public speaking, but their coaching in how to deliver a talk from the front of the stage, without the safety of a laptop or lectern, was daunting and difficult, but a wonderful life skill to learn. Thanks so much to all the people behind the scenes and to so many accomplished fellow speakers – and the interesting crowd at the sold-out event.
